Shotgun Whitetail Deer Hunts

The Watson Hunting Camp has over 800 acres of private land right in the middle of the Minnesota River Valley of the Lac Qui Parle Management Area in western Mn.  This land is designated exclusively for their deer hunters.  Owner/head whitetail deer hunting guide Chuck Ellingson has been hunting this area for over 25 years and has patterned these big bucks.  Chuck has spent countless hours building and strategically placing over 20 stands in the areas where he knows the deer are known to work year after year.  With the aid of a wildlife sanctuary in very close proximity to some of his land, Chuck has the advantage of holding some monster bucks that go relatively undisturbed during the rest of the year.  Chuck breaks up the MN firearm's season into three, two day hunts- lodging included.

Archery Whitetail Deer Hunts

For those of you who like to get a jump on the rest of the hunters and enjoy a more secluded whitetail hunt, the Watson Hunting Camp also caters to your crowd.  You will enjoy access to the same 800 acres that is located next to the Lac Qui Parle Wildlife Sanctuary that the firearms hunters will be invading later on in the year.  This is a non-guided hunt where you will be placed right amongst the big boys and will be able to go one on one with the best western MN has to offer.  This hunt also includes first class lodging within five minutes of your stand!

Muzzleloader Whitetail Deer Hunts

The muzzleloader season is becoming more popular with Minnesota deer hunters each year and for good reason.  The Watson Hunting Camp has enjoyed great success the last few years guiding hunters to late season bucks who have eluded hunters during the regular firearms season.  Head guide Chuck Ellingson has over 800 acres of private land to hunt but also has thousands and thousands of public land in the Lac Qui Parle Wildlife Management Area at his disposal.  This land is virtually desolate during the month of December and with some accurate scouting, Chuck is able to put his hunters on game!  Again this hunt includes first class lodging.
