I hunted pheasants at the Watson Hunting Camp four times this past October and November. The camp is set in western Minnesota. It is in the middle of literally thousands of acres of farmland adjoining Lac Qui Parle Lake and the game refuge. The owner Chuck Ellingson, and his trusty retriever Morgan, were obviously intent on providing relaxed and memorable hunting experiences. With Chuck and Morgan's help, our hunting parties always had great shooting and flawless retrieves. With my freezer full of pheasants I look forward to many good meals, and lots of fun hunting next fall.

The two day experience will be unforgettable by me and my clients. Geese dropping onto our coffin blinds each morning, Pheasants jumping in front of us in the afternoons, and drinks served all night - What more could we ask! Our bellies were all filled with catered meals each afternoon that we enjoyed as a group in the very spacious bar and dinning area and our bird limits were filled as we were all able to bring home our freshly cleaned birds! My clients have not stopped bragging about their trip. Chuck, his staff, and dogs could not have done another thing to make our trip more enjoyable. This was my first Goose Hunt - I was amazed at how many Geese are in the area, it was like something you'd see in a National Geographic T.V. special. Thousands of Geese flying right over our fields. The accommodations and equipment are 1st class and the professional guides are second-to-none. I am definitely spoiled - will be coming back with more friends!
